Empower FNMI Students
First Nation, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) students at the University of Alberta are investing not only in themselves but also into their communities and the larger community. FNMI students do not always have full access to all services and programs to enhance and support their success due to financial restraints and/or no personal support. If you would like to pay it forward and help FNMI students maximize their potential, please consider investing your time or monetary support.
Investing your time is a great way to connect with students and make a lasting impression in their lives. Sharing your story of your academic journey with all of its hard times and jubilations is a rich resource for students still on their journey.
- Share your stories of your post secondary experiences and academic journey.
- Attend one of our events and offer your unique story as a guest speaker.
- Offer a career profile for students to reference highlighting your faculty.
Please contact Tricia Beaudry, Aboriginal Student Advisor, if you are interested in any of the above experiences at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 780-492-5677.
Assist in supporting First Nations, Métis and Inuit students to have full access, participation and success while they are on their academic journey at the University of Alberta.
